Black, White & Rooster
Photos by: Jennie Doran
I’m always brainstorming what interesting locations in Cleveland would make for great backdrops for photo shoots so I was super excited when Jennie suggested this wall mural right off W.25th. As soon as I saw the wall’s intense colors and busy geometric shapes I knew my pallete would be black & white; it was just a matter of waiting for the perfect weather. You can imagine how excited I was when the weather *finally* decided to act like summer; out of the closet came my simple asymmetrical white sheath dress.
Dresses make getting ready quick and easy; no need to match anything, the decision has already been made for you. The only difficulty? Which pair of shoes to wear 🙂
A little more about this shoot. The mural is on the the Glass Bubble Project‘s building. Jennie and I needed a break from the beaming, and hot, sunshine and ducked around the corner to take a few snapshots along the back of the building; and that’s when I met Morty! Yes, Morty is the name of Mike’s (the owner) pet rooster. You never know what random adventure might meet you around any given corner, so always be open to new things. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “Do one thing everyday that scares you.” I picked-up Morty for the sake of the shoot and, of course, for his fab choice of attire that day.
What one thing will you do today that scares you?
Thanks for stopping by and cheers to new experiences!
