This is my second post where an animal felt they couldn’t just stand by and watch, they needed to photobomb me. The first to nab the spotlight was Morty and, as luck would have it, his attire perfectly matched mine.  This time around her name is Lola and no, she’s not a showgirl; sorry, reference to a Barry Manilow song I grew-up with and loved, please don’t hold it against me!  Lola is a very cute, but very hyper, Pom Terrier.  Unlike Morty who was quite docile during the shoot, Lola had more than enough energy to run around, be my shadow and demand some attention before she would decide to just watch from afar; she cracked me up!

We were fortunate to have amazing weather in Cleveland this past weekend which allowed me to, as my summer mantra goes, find a patio and chill; in this case a deck was a perfectly suitable substitute.

I’m still embracing my blouses which I find myself living in during the summer.  Their lightweight and breezy materials help to keep me cool while still feeling girly and looking stylish.  I had originally planned on wearing white denim with this blouse, however the heat of the day forced my hand and so out came structured and patterned shorts; cool all the way around, literally.

In celebration of such amazing weather I decided to whip-up a batch of my famous Red Sangria and boy did it go down easy; with that I leave you with the recipe and a big CHEERS!

Single batch of Penny’s Red Sangria:

For each bottle, your choice, of red wine* add:

* I prefer to use Merlot, Rioja or Cabernet; I usually make a double batch and, when I do, usually select two different reds to combine!
