On Coventry: Patchwork
// Photos: Tom Noe //
Coventry, I couldn’t possibly capture all your charm in a single shoot. As I mentioned in my last post Coventry is fantastic for walking, shopping, dining and people watching. Along the sidewalk you’ll find ample bike parking and wonderful metal sculptures surrounding each small tree plot each with its own theme and name.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love to purchase items that can stand alone as a unique and well crafted pieces. I purchased this sweater last year for its unique dueling patterned sleeves that were oh so subtle in their pink and grey color palette. My shoes with their mixture of suede and printed snake skin leather were nothing short of love at first sight. Patchwork might conjure up images of a blanket however here my title nods to the idea of blending of subtle patterns, textures and hues that compliment yet contrast quite nicely.
What patterns or textures have you experimented with lately?
Thank you so much for stopping by! Cheers – Penny
