So excited that I finally got to shoot with my friend Elisa on this post! We had talked about it for what seems like forever and finally made it happen. I selected the venue, a local library with some amazing architectural elements, both inside and out. I found it kizmet that while cutting through the library “Fashionable Food” was on display; after all what fashionable woman doesn’t want her food to follow suit?
Recently I attended an outdoor wedding and wanted a pair of sunnies to coordinate with my dress, picked up these pink cuties which were the icing on the cake.
It’s wonderful to be drenched in vibrant colors from lips to toes during the summer.
Thank you for stopping by and cheers to summer fashion!

Let me start off by saying the weather here in Cleveland has not been ‘camera friendly’ lately; with the sun setting at 5 and rain, snow and rain again it’s been more than frustrating trying trying to plan any sort of outside activity. Luckily for me, offering a much needed break, this past weekend gave me a quick opportunity to get outside and enjoy some of the fleeting temperate weather.
During seasonal transitions I find layers are the only way to go. I can quickly shed a wrap and tuck it inside my handbag without incurring the bulk and weight of a coat. In addition to wraps being functional I get to add a pop of color to any outfit and then, as if warmth wasn’t enough, I can style the scarf to accommodate a light breeze or a forceful wind with a simple throw over the shoulder or wrap around the neck.
I’m especially in love with these two wraps from Nordstrom & Talbots; and if you’re looking for inspiration on how to tie a wrap/scarf then head over here for a great tutorial from PureWow.
With that…it’s a wrap! Cheers – Penny
