Coventry, I couldn’t possibly capture all your charm in a single shoot. As I mentioned in my last post Coventry is fantastic for walking, shopping, dining and people watching. Along the sidewalk you’ll find ample bike parking and wonderful metal sculptures surrounding each small tree plot each with its own theme and name.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love to purchase items that can stand alone as a unique and well crafted pieces. I purchased this sweater last year for its unique dueling patterned sleeves that were oh so subtle in their pink and grey color palette. My shoes with their mixture of suede and printed snake skin leather were nothing short of love at first sight. Patchwork might conjure up images of a blanket however here my title nods to the idea of blending of subtle patterns, textures and hues that compliment yet contrast quite nicely.
What patterns or textures have you experimented with lately?
Thank you so much for stopping by! Cheers – Penny

W.25th, oh how I love thee. There is never a shortage of people to see, things to do, beverages to imbibe and bites to eat. The fantastic West Side Market acts as the amazing backdrop to the entire area and only slightly less famous is the Market Square which sits directly across from the market on W.25th, and where this shoot was taken. The open air space recently got a makeover and it’s perfectly suited for lounging around and taking in the sites and sounds of the city. Check it out if you haven’t already, you won’t be disappointed.
I must profess my love of a good patterned pant! You may recall here here I sported another pair I’m currently in love with too; honestly I think I wear one of these pairs at least once a week! Here’s why I love a good pattern: 1) They offer a whole lot of interest without you having to do a thing! 2) They hide a lot; from a accidental spill at lunch to the creases in the fabric that occur as the day wears on. 3) With a small pattern, they almost become a neutral and often offer you several color options from which to play up.
What are you currently in love with in your wardrobe?
Happy fall and thank you for stopping by!
Cheers – Penny
